MY Experience: IN Banking (1988-2009)
Product Management support including Residential Home Loan, Personal Loan & Credit Card analysis, Customer Analysis. Competitor analysis.
Balance Sheet Management - Interest Rate Risk analysis. Transfer Pricing. - Data & Reporting analysis, including Board & ALCO (Asset & Liability Committee) reports / presentations. - Data mining (NCR Teradata data warehouse). - Development of Pricing models. - MS Office development (Excel, Access & Word & including VBA). - Design multi-user database (100+ users) using MS Access as front-end and SQL Server as back-end.
IN Insurance (1984-1988)
Investment performance analysis & reporting. - Daily Unit Pricing.
MY Proficiencies: Excel – extensive knowledge of spreadsheet functions, auditing, formatting & styles, pivot tables including links to external databases, lists & spreadsheet databases, data validation, forms, toolbars, Control Toolbox, table function (“What-If” analysis), automation using VBA, customized Add-ins, Charts.
Access – design of tables, queries, forms, reports, macros & VBA coding. Managing ODBC connections.
Word – design templates for standard documents used across entire organisation.
PowerPoint – compiling presentations from multiple sources, linking & automation.
SQL – NCR Teradata Assistant (aka Queryman).
Select, Inner Join, Create, Insert, Delete, Drop, Statistics. Export, Import.
My Desired position: Short-term contracts (2-6 mths) – development or as relief staff, however I would consider a permanent role (3-4 days per week). Business analysis and / or report design.
